Ellen Waylonis May
Ellen Waylonis May first performed on stage at the age of 5, tap dancing to Frank Sinatra's “High Hopes.” Though her tap career was short lived, she loved the stage, and managed to make her way back during college as a member of an experimental dance troupe. Shortly thereafter, a brief but fiery love affair with hula hooping lead her to the wide world of circus, where she discovered partner acrobatics and aerial arts.
Ellen has performed on stages from East Coast to West. She is a founding member of the Boston Circus Guild, and continues to study at the New England Center for Circus Arts.
Ellen holds an advanced certification in vinyasa and restorative yoga, and is one of only a handful of instructors trained in Unnata® aerial yoga. She continues to teach classes in and around Boston. Ellen lives in Somervile, MA, with her husband Roger and their very fuzzy cat, Motoko.
